The International Conference ‘The EU’s Responses to New Security Challenges in its Wider Neighbourhood: Building Resilient States and Societies’, involving academics, think tankers, representatives of public administration, civil society and media communities of EU member states and partner countries will facilitate consultation and discussion on different angles of resilience and security based on a thorough understanding of situation and risks. The conference is aimed at generation of context-specific, conflict sensitive policies and adaptive mobilization of resources and responses.

International Workshop ‘ICT and EU Engagement with CSOs in the European Neighbourhood’
This workshop focuses on good practice of the innovation and appropriate use of ICTs in learning, teaching, research and policy-making in the area of European Studies, European Security Studies in EU member states and partner countries with particular interest to (1) the raise of attractiveness of EU-related subjects for younger faculty, civil society activists and policy-makers and (2) engagement of civil society in participation in policy making.
We assess and discuss formal and informal practices by various actors in specific security/emergency contexts. Through this workshop we enable the participants to become competent in innovatively employing the tools of technology to supplement their traditional activity.
